NZ Association of Anglican Women

We are a Christian not-for-profit organisation that is part of the Anglican Church in Aotearoa New Zealand and Polynesia.

The New Zealand Association of Anglican Women (NZAAW) is run by and comprises women who combine faith with practical outreach. Members support their churches and communities.

Of significant importance is the Christian fellowship between members, the way they support one another when in need and lifelong friendships that are formed.

Our principal aim is:

To unite in prayer and participate in the mission of the church.

Which strengthens our second aim:

To promote, safeguard and nurture Christian family life.

To aim, as AAW is doing, to promote, safeguard and nurture Christian family life, is to acknowledge that family life cannot be taken for granted, is often threatened (by financial strife, by illness, by busyness, etc) and needs lots of encouragement and support.

Two of our main areas of interest cover:
Overseas & Outreach: global mission
Social Concerns: impact within our regions.

We recognise that perhaps some have a greater interest in one than the other, however both areas receive our help, which is what counts.

Overseas & Outreach

In 2024, we raised over $14,500 to support aid for developmental and physical disabilities (eg cleft palates) in children in Rwenzori, Uganda.

In 2025 we raised $12,000 for a  container of tools and emergency disaster equipment for Fiji.

Our focus for 2026 is to financially support Al Ahli Hospital in Gaza.
